Pearl & Birch is changing our summer hours! Details are listed on the second slide on our home page and will be updated on our contact page.
After hours wedding gown consultations will be available on a variety days and evenings outside regular business hours. They can be booked through our online calendar here.
MASK POLICY
Masks will no longer be required to shop with us. Clients and staff are welcome to make the choice that suits their needs and you can request a masked service from you consultant by indicating on your booking form or speaking to a tam member upon arrival.
We are happy to accomodate all shoppers the best we can.
Masks will not be provided by the store. Please bring your own if you prefer to wear one.
As of March 15, 2022 we have created new policies regarding walk-in shopping and capacity. At this time appointment s are strongly recommended but we are able to welcome walk-ins, space permitting, during regular business hours for the following services:
Graduation, wedding party, mother's, mini's, gala, evening, cocktail, veils, jewelry, hairpieces, belts & sashes, shoes, clutches, robes, vintage and faux fur rentals and gifts.

Due to our increase in capacity and accessibility our staff will continue to wear masks and we ask our visitors to do the same. This policy will be revisited frequently and updated on our social media and online calendar for guests to review.
As of August 7, 2021 Manitoba will move to YELLOW in the Pandemic Response System. In light of the reduction in restrictions we will be open at full capacity. Please read the following to understand our current operating policies.

Health & Safety
Our hand sanitizing station will be available at the entryway. Due to our decision to increase the number of guests and frequency of our services our staff will continue to wear masks and we ask that our clients do the same. We will re evaluate this policy in the fall.
Hours of operation
Our online calendar has extended hours to offer additional evening appointments.
Walk ins with limitations are welcome
For the first time since March 2020 we will be offering walk ins for accessories and specialty gifts from Tuesday through Saturday during regular business hours only. You may need to call upon arrival as our consultants may be hosting appointments in the private studios located in the back of the shoppe. All dress consultations are by appointment only.
Increased access to same day bookings online
Our online calendar will now accept shopping appointments for the same day up to 3 hours in advance. This means you can book a same day appointment online. If you wish to reserve a time within 3 hours or less please call the store directly and we will check the availability of our fitting rooms and staff. Consignment appointments require 24 hours notice as they are handled by a Consignment Specialist.
Increased number of guests and types of appointments
Please read the descriptions of each in order to select the appointment most suitable for you. We are excited to welcome more guests! Our private studios will now be hosting up to 5 guests plus the bride during regular business hours with the option to add more in our Exclusive and After Hours Consultations.
Bridesmaid individual and group consultations are also available with increased guests.

As of January 23, 2021 Winnipeg has lifted the Code Red Critical restrictions on retail as part of Manitoba's Pandemic Response System for Covid-19.
This means that all non-essential retail is open to the public with capacity restrictions and maintenance of safety protocols we have all come to expect within public spaces.
We are open by appointment only and our online calendar is accepting bookings for shopping at this time.
As of December 12, 2020 Winnipeg has extended the Code Red Critical phase of Manitoba's Pandemic Response System for Covid-19.
This means that all non-essential retail and services are closed until January 8, 2021.
An amendment to this order included the reopening of thrift stores and retail that offers used goods. As a store that specializes in secondhand we have considered the intention of the order in addition to the current public health orders and designed a plan to open. The details of our reopening will be released tomorrow on social media and we will update the information here as well.
We are scheduled to reopen in a very limited capacity on December 16, 2020.

We are not an essential service and will not be taking appointments or offering any in person visits during this time to ensure the effectiveness of the lockdown. We will be taking this time to work on our online store and up date our online information to create accessibility to our inventory and information about services you can access in the future.
Email is the best way to contact us as there will not be any staff on site to receive phone calls on a regular basis. Consignors can go the the Consignor's Access Portal page for additional information.

The following policies and procedures are currently in place at this time:
We understand that both our clients and staff deserve to have confidence in our service.
When you book a consultation with us we recognize that it is an act of trust.
Sanitation and safety are our top priority.
Hand sanitizer is available at our entrance.
Each guest will sanitize prior to beginning their consult.
All of our common areas are cleaned after each use. This includes the washroom, cash counter, debit machine and front entrance.
Handwashing is required for all staff frequently throughout the day.
Focused and intentional service allows us to ensure that we are doing everything in our power to keep our community safe. We will not rush though any part of your visit with us.
Mask's are mandatory for all guests and staff.
Failure to adhere to proper mask wearing protocol will result in a guest/group being asked to end the appointment immediately.
Disposable masks are available for guests who do not bring their own. We strongly encourage all visitors to bring a reusable mask to reduce environmental waste.
Pearl & Birch will not tolerate any type of refusal to adhere to mask wearing protocol.
If you have a medical exemption please contact the shoppe directly prior to booking.
Hours of Operation
Pearl & Birch is committed to providing consistent availability to our guests. Our hours will remain as listed for all booked appointments. We may not be available to be reached via phone or be present in the store if we are not expecting you. Therefore we strongly suggest contacting us via email if you want to speak to someone directly.
All walk in service has been suspended until further notice.
Appointments are required for all shopping, consignment and alterations.
Same day appointments are available based on capacity and staffing levels.
Appointment times will be staggered to prevent co-mingling at the entrance.
A maximum of 4 guests for bridal consultations will be permitted.
A maximum of 3 guests for graduation & formal consultations will be permitted.
A maximum of 2 guests for alterations fitting will be permitted.
A total of 11 guests will be allowed in the shoppe at any time.
Our private studios are reserved for bridal consultations.
Our shoppe offers two private rooms that provide a socially distant and intimate experience.
The rooms may be made available for graduates & formal gown shoppers space permitting.
The rooms are sanitized and cleaned before each consultation.
Our main salon fitting rooms will be available for one consultation at a time only.
Virtual consultations are available for pre-shopping and out of town guests.
We will happily set aside a 30 minute consultation via Zoom or Facetime with
one of our experienced consultants.
A short questionnaire is included with the online booking to assess your needs and help us prepare for your virtual visit.
Dry Cleaning and Rentals are available by appointment.
Dry cleaning drop offs are being accepted during regular business hours.
Please use the online booking system or call the shoppe directly.
Cape & Stole rentals can be discussed in store or via phone. We will book in your pick up and drop off time to ensure service when the contract is complete.
We are currently accepting consignments and always need new inventory.
Consignments are accepted through our online submission form.
Once you are approved we will provide you a link to book online or you can call us directly.
Consignment intakes are performed by appointment only & in a private room.
Consignment pick ups and renewals require an appointment.
We will not be providing extensions on any consignment contracts but we will offer complimentary renewals for those clients who wish to have additional time to sell their garments based on the delays caused by Covid-19.
